Has the TDA decided on standardized rules for the Big Blind Ante or will this be a topic of discussion at the next Summit?

For instance, when a player is low on chips some tournaments satisfy the BB first, others the Ante. Any thoughts on the subject?

Thanx, Frank

Thanks, Brooks. I guess it was a timely question.  😊

This is nonsense, we talked about the fact Ante 1st could create a bad situation
1 short player VS the whole table without any chances to play for more than the ante.

Matt is just enforcing WPT rule. The only events I worked in Europe which use Ante 1st are WPT events. PokerStars is BB 1st, PartyPoker switched to BB Ante (from BTN Ante) and are now BB 1st, National Tours in France, Netherlands and Spain are BB 1st, Unibet Live is BB 1st even WSOP Circuit events are BB 1st (when they are not BTN Ante)

Matt should start to listen those who are working on the tables nowadays instead of those who did not deal a single card for the last 10 years.

Boris, it was discussed in length by a lot of people. Many attendees including myself decided to convert from BB 1st to Ante 1st, it makes so much more sense after being explained.

I would really like to read the explaination. Because for now, we dont have anything except "Short stack have to be put under pressure"
So it is quite hard to have a balanced opinion.

if the blinds are 5k/10k with 10k ante and the short stack only has 1k left in every position other than the blinds he has a chance to win the 10k of his 1k stack. So when it comes around to his turn to ante why should he be able to avoid paying it.
